[Shortly after receiving a green light from Hawke, her half-drunk ass and monster dog in tow, Cloud leads the way over to the Tourist, following her directions to menace her ex-boyfriend as requested.
KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK MAN hopefully you aren't doing anything important]
[ It's already strange to be back in the ship but a considerable amount of alcohol and the support of Cloud makes it 100% easier, even so she trails behind hood drawn over her head. Dog, on the other hand, bounds happily at Cloud's heels as though he too was apart of the so cold menacing.
[It's not been the best of days for Fenris- all of it self inflicted, of course- he honestly just wants to be left alone. He answers the door to Cloud with a confused frown- this...is not a visitor he was expecting at all. ]
...Yes? What do you-
[And then he notices Marian and her dog and his frown deepens. So this is how she wanted to play this. He'd be the last person to say he didn't deserve it, but he never expected her to drop so low here. ]
[Huh. So it is that guy. Well, having a shit life doesn't excuse you from being an asshole and making bad decisions. Cloud's practically the poster child for that life lesson.
Cloud rests an arm against the doorjamb so Fenris doesn't just close it in their faces, leaning in a little.] Hey, I'm here to menace you for breaking her heart. [Jerks a thumb over his shoulder at Hawke.] Heard you were a bastard about it. Her words.
[ All at once she feels her stomach sink and twist uncomfortably, shifting her weight from one foot to the other. The urge to run twists around her limbs, fingers twitching as she reaches up to pull at her hood. Originally the thought of this was hilarious but now? Maker's breath, now she feels like she is going to puke. This was a bad idea, a horrible idea, Sweet Andraste, let her just pass out here and now.
She moves a few steps back, resisting the urge to curl up on herself as Dog huffs out a displeased noise at Cloud's side. ]
[Fenris eyes Cloud's arm for a moment, contemplating how much strength it would take to break it. He doesn't look at Cloud as he speaks, instead focusing on Marian. ]
...So this is how you wish to do this? To send an attack dog after me?
[There's real disappointment in his tone. He wouldn't have expected this of her. He's always known Marian Hawke to fight her own battles. He finally turns his attention on Cloud.]
If you are expecting me to deny anything, you are dramatically wrong. I'm not going to defend my actions- but I have no interest in hashing it out with someone I barely know. Now step away from my door and leave.
[prolly a lot more force than it looks like it'd take buddy]
Hold on. [Pointedly not stepping away, but glancing over at Hawke no longer giggling. He'd gone along with it because she'd been laughing and it had seemed funny, but that...judging tone? That just makes all his old childhood DTF hackles go right up.
Cloud looks back at Fenris.] I don't actually care what happened. Sure she's drunk and whatever, but the hell is up with that? You're gonna seriously be a dick because she's so upset that she couldn't even come over here without someone coming with her?
[ No, this wasn't how she wanted to do this─ she didn't want to do this at all but they're here now and it's happening and all she wants to do is run. She hugs her arms close to herself unable to look in the direction of Fenris and Cloud. ]
He's not. [ Bitterness coats her tone, hurts she thought she buried in alcohol resurfacing with a vengeance. ] He's here because he gives a shit and trying to make me feel better.
[ Which, as far as she is concerned, is more than she can say for Fenris. It's not wholly true, of course, but in her hurt and alcohol filled state she doesn't seem to remember that, or even care. ]
And this would make you feel better, would it? Menacing me?
[Did she expect him to stand by and allow someone to attack him? Did she honestly think he would lie down and let a beating happen? The thought makes his stomach churn. He turns to level his glare at Snow. ]
If she wishes to talk, even via a proxy, then I will talk. That, I have no problem with. I have no intention of hiding the fact I have done a terrible thing to her or that I have hurt her. But I will not be threatened, certainly not on my own blighted ship.
[Fenris listens to their stage whispering with not very well concealed at all irritation. He shifts to step away, hand on the door ready to close it. Marian and Cloud can go chat it up elsewhere, as far as he's concerned.]
Fine. If you do not wish to speak, then I'd prefer to be left alone.
[He's just gonna...try to shut the door. At least he's giving Cloud a chance to actually move his arm first. ]
Tough rocks. [nope not moving that arm, also pushing that door back open, how's that for an invasion of space] You don't get to stand there feeling all sorry for yourself over what a bad thing you did and then be shitty about her bringing someone over. Get out here so we can chat.
