[That's a blessing, and not a small one. It's easy to take comfort in Fenris being happy, easy to let that make her happy. It's kind of a silly thing if she thinks about it that way, but Jove really can't find it in herself to be unhappy about it.]
I brought some of your favorites thinking you'd need some cheering up, but that doesn't seem to be the case. [Her smile grows as she bumps him, very lightly, with her shoulder as she passes him.] You're happy to see a certain someone, aren't you?
[He rolls his eyes good naturedly, turning to follow, closing the door behind him. ]
She is the Hawke I knew in Exsilium. [By way of explanation. ] It seems you were glad to see her, also.
[Which means the Hawke he knew in the Initative's war was the same as Jove's. The one who lived. She may not be the Hawke he knows back home, but she's still one he cares a lot for. It's a good thing. ]
[She moves to take a seat on the bed, setting the apples down there and opening up the bottle of wine.]
I told you that I'd been close to Hawke, didn't I? I didn't expect us to know the same one, but it's... [She smiles, finally able to put Cullen to the side and just be glad about this one thing.] It's wonderful, seeing her again. Seeing the person you know, and seeing that they remember you. I'm sure I don't have to tell you that, though.
[Wine open, she holds it out for him, inviting him to have the first drink.]
[He smiles, and though it's small, it's genuine. He crosses to take the wine, taking a long swill of the bottle before handing it back. ]
I never thought I would see her again.
[Which means eventually they are going to have to discuss how they said goodbye. He never thought a moment of rashness he'd allowed himself would come back and bite him in the ass, but there you go. ]
I...am very glad to see her well. I have been worried about her. She was always good to me while we were under the Initiative.
[Because she loves him. He knows that. His own feelings for her are a big, writing mess he'd rather not deal with right now. ]
[As she takes the wine from him, she motions for him to take a seat with her and watching him closely while she takes a rather long drink from the bottle. There's absolutely something there, something he's keeping under the surface, and she can't help but be painfully curious about it.]
I wish I had known it was the exact same Hawke, instead of assuming there were just similarities. I could have told you more about what happened.
[There's an apology there, but it's unsaid for right now. She thinks that Fenris will understand, that he'll forgive her the mistake.]
It is fine. There seem to be infinite versions of our world, it would be impossible to know that they were the same. Do not trouble yourself with such things. What matters is that she survived.
[The circumstances of that survival are questionable, but that's absolutely something Jove isn't about to talk about freely. It's Hawke's secret, her story to tell, and no one will hear it from Jove. She hands the wine back to Fenris, leaning in a little conspiratorially.]
I don't suppose you'd like to tell me where you met her.
Myself and Merrill had already been in Exsilium for a month by the time she arrived. I was on a mission when she turned up, but I'd been warned she was not the Hawke from my world. We met up, talked, drank. Spoke of the differences in our worlds.
Her bother is dead in mine, I have met her sister. It seems for her, it was the other way around.

Not at all. You know I'm always glad for your company.
