[ She pulls a childish expression, lips turning into a immature pout. Of course she'd miss a cool dragon battle, of course. ]

Of course you would, you lot all complain about it but you have just as much fun as I do fighting dragons. All the near death experiences are exhilarating.

[ Hawke tenses at that, sharp blue gaze quickly flicking to his hand upon her arm. In that moment everything seems to drain away and she exhales, a shaky breath that all but betrays her. ]

He left a note, said he'd be back for it. I'm holding him to that, he better come back or I'll be furious.

She manages a smile at that, shifting a little closer in order to lean her head against him. ]

[He allows it, even leaning into it a little himself, exhaling softly. It's still a frightening idea, but it's one he keeps allowing himself to indulge in. That this- this could be a thing he could have. They could both have. ]

[ She can be satisfied with the little things, the small motions that neither really recognize, or bring to light. They hold a bit more weight coming from him, these gentle little gestures that don't come naturally. She learned to treasure them long ago.

The giggle passes her lips before she has a chance to stifle it, but in truth she didn't feel like it. Laughter has become rather distant the last few weeks, it's nice to hear it again. ]
