[He didn't tell her to get the hell out, so it's a good start at least.]
Hello, Fenris. I've been thinking about our conversation about magical chocolate [and just that part tyvm] and I realized I had never asked if you had had chocolate before. Just in case, I wanted to see to that. Some things are just too good to go without your entire life.
That's right. [She holds the bottle of wine up as well, passing it over to him.] And some wine, all bought with money and not at all summoned from the Fade with magic.
[It really is hard to know where she stands with Fenris, but he's letting her in and not outright rejecting her gifts, so that's something. As she slips past him she smiles at him and nods at the wine.]
I wasn't sure what you liked, so I just went with something that should pair well with sweets. Shall we sit?
[She wouldn't have judged the chairs in a rented room, but the litter is... well, really, none of her business. Who is she to tell him how to keep up the place he lives in? It's absolutely not her place, so she just sits and sets the box of chocolates down, flipping the lid off and waving him over.]
Come and try one, there's no reason to beat around the bush.
[He moves over to sit on his own chair. He hesitates for a moment, before carefully plucking one out, raising it up to sniff at it. Satisfied she's not trying to poison him (probably), he puts it in his mouth, chewing thoughtfully. ]
[For a moment she can picture him as a halla, tentatively sniffing at her hand to be sure there were no ulterior motives before it would let her lead it to the aravels. Initially untrusting but inevitably willing to let her closer, and it feels just as good to see Fenris enjoying the chocolate as it had to pet a halla for the first time.
It's probably not the most flattering comparison, all things considered, but it isn't like she's going to say any of that out loud. In the end, it's probably fine.]
[She leans her elbow on the table and props her chin in her hand as she watches him, not bothering to hide her pleased smile. This is exactly what she had hoped for.]
Try another one. They're all supposed to have different fillings.

You came here to...give me chocolate?

It will do just fine, thank you.
[He gestures to some of the crappy-ass chairs sitting in his equally crappy-ass and litter strewn room. Fenris still lives like a pig. ]
Certainly.

It is very sweet.

Do you like it?
no subject
I suppose it is not too awful.
[Such poetry. Such descriptions. ]

[He says that as if there's something suspicious about it. Still, he'll take one chewing it carefully. ]
It tastes of strawberries.

[Creators save her, how is someone normally so broody and honestly kind of intimidating so very cute?]
Are you fond of strawberries?
no subject
[It's his true secret power. He shrugs.]
They are...fine. I prefer apples.
no subject
[Yes, next time. As in, this is going to be a theme now.]

There will be more times?
no subject
Of course there will be. There's a lot out there besides apples and chocolates for you to try, so obviously there have to be many more times.
no subject
That is... very kind of you. Thank you.
no subject
You haven't even opened that yet.
no subject
Hmmm. It's good wine.
no subject
Alright then, sweets and wine. You wouldn't happen to have any other things you like I could bring you, would you?
no subject
I think you bring enough for me as it is. I'm not sure what I have done to deserve all this, anyway.
no subject
That speaks well for you continuing to get gifts from me, then. Part of the fun is doing it to see if I can make you smile.

Is that what this is about?
